Cybersecurity is a topic that increasingly grabs more attention from customers. Bio-Rad had a program in place, but using various vendors to supply functionality made it hard to talk to customers in a convincing manner. The task was to brand the Cybersecurity program to make discussions easier to intitiate and to give context to the various parts of the total program. The shield design gave us a familiar framework to assemble the separate components into a protective force.
While cybersecurity is no joking matter, humor can often help to give an air of confidence and add to memorability if used correctly. The castle walls providing protection from the onslaught of virus attackers is a historical model we all understand.
Creating a series of shield icons organizes the disparate parts and unifies them into one program.
